Renewable energy reduces our carbon footprint, dilutes our dependence on the national energy grid and ensures a greener sustainable power supply. One thing Wellington has in abundance is sun!
- Solar panels supply 50% of our electricity needs at 450 kVA/h.
- All the lights in the cellar and tasting rooms have been replaced with LEDs to save electricity & C02.
- Vineyards are irrigated by gravity flow: 50% or 380 000m3 of our water requirement is gravity fed by investing in a pipeline infrastructure connected to a water reservoir higher up in the valley.
