SPORT
THE KARATE CLUB
Karate is another popular sport on the Bosman farm. Shineen October is our champion, having taken part in international competitions in Australia, Ireland and Japan.
Shineen currently helps coach 22 young children on the farm who all aspire to follow in her footsteps. Subsidy of the coaching fees, uniforms and transport to competitions are provided.
THE CRICKET CLUB
The Bosman Adama Cricket Club consists of 11 players who all have uniforms and the necessary kit. They practice regularly on the sports fields near the Bosman Adama Bovlei Community Centre and take on teams from other farms in the area.
RUGBY
Several members of our farm community play rugby for various clubs in the area, while our community as a whole are avid rugby fans, often travelling by bus to watch matches.
THE RUGBY STAR
We are very proud of Diego Appollis who grew up on the farm and played rugby at the local school. He was spotted by the coach of a prominent school in Gauteng and was offered a full scholarship to complete his schooling there. After school he was selected for the Blue Bulls Academy and is now a key player for the Sharks rugby team in Kwa-Zulu Natal. We follow his career with interest.
